Resins and Plastics Limited

Resins and Plastics Ltd. (RPL), operating since 1971, manufactures a range of resins — Alkyd, Epoxies, Foundry, Ketonic and Phenolic among them — several of which serve as import substitutes. These synthetic resins find use across adhesives, coatings, dyes and pigments, insulating varnishes, wire enamels, lamination, construction, cosmetics, textiles and foundries, with the company manufacturing and marketing largely within India. Statutory approval for increased production received in FY21 opened up room to expand market reach and lift output and sales. RPL has built a reputation as a notable exporter of synthetic resins to coatings and printable-ink producers in neighbouring countries, with plans to grow its international presence further. Headquartered in Mumbai, the company runs two of its three manufacturing facilities near shipping ports — in Taloja, Maharashtra, and Ankleshwar, Gujarat.
